Delaware Valley Americans United met on April 2nd 2015 for a lecture featuring DVAU Clergy Advisory Board member Dr. Jennifer M. Booker, Ph.D with her talk on “The View from the Wild Side – Minority Religions and Separation of Church and State.”
Dr. Booker’s talk focused on nature religions, which are not faith-based and are outside of the mainstream Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, & Muslim). What makes nature religions different philosophically and in practice, and how does that affect separation of church and state issues? What guidance is the Religious Right using to judge nature religions?
