PA State Rep Brian Sims Confirmed as Keynote Speaker for DVAU 2015 Reclaiming Religious Freedom Conference May 2nd, Philadelphia

Brian SimsPennsylvania State Representative Brian K Sims (D – Philadelphia), of the 182nd Legislative District, has confirmed his role as the Keynote Speaker at the Delaware Valley Americans United Chapter’s 2015 Conference, “Reclaiming Religious Freedom From the Radical Right,” being held at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott on Saturday May 2 2015 from 12 noon to 6:00pm. The conference is free and open to the public.

Other speakers previously announced include Sarah Jones, Communications Associate, Americans United for Separation of Church and State; Brian Silva, Executive Director, Marriage Equality USA; Jason Stewart, Board of Trustees, Americans United for Separation of Church and State; and Reverend Cynthia Cain, UU Congregation of the South Jersey Shore.

Brian Sims has been very supportive of the DVAU Chapter’s events for many years, speaking at numerous DVAU meetings and rallies in Philadelphia. Sims is a vocal advocate of separation of church and state, and is known for standing strong against religious radicals in the Pennsylvania Statehouse. DVAU looks forward to hearing his perspective as he closes our 2015 Reclaiming Religious Freedom Conference with a bang.
