The next meeting of the Delaware Valley Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church & State will be held Tuesday, July 6, 7:00 pm, at the Doylestown Library located at 150 S. Pine St., Doylestown, Pa 18901.

We will begin the July meeting with a review of chapter activity followed by a discussion of recent church/state issues in the news. Then we will view the first in a four part video lecture series on religious liberties.

The 30 minute presentation will be made by John E. Finn, professor of Government at Wesleyan University, and an internationally recognized expert on constitutional law. Dr. Finn earned his J.D. from Georgetown and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Princeton. This first presentation will address fundamental issues that form the underpinnings of our understanding of church/state separation. Dr. Finn will discuss the relationship between matters of faith and matters of the state helping us make sense of the Supreme Court’s ruling on this often complicated and confusing matter. The presentation will be followed by a discussion.

Best wishes,
