The Philadelphia Separation of Church and State Meetup Group
Anti-choice and conservative Religious Right groups are holding a prayer rally in cities nationwide on Friday June 8th at 12 noon. Locally, they’ll be at Independence Hall in Philadelphia PA. Make a sign that says how you feel about religious groups trying to impose their narrow views on all of us. We will not interact with them, we will stand strong, silently, to help keep church and state separate.

Please stand across the street from the anti-choice group, do not engage them in discussion or debate. This is a silent protest. Bring your best sign supporting women’s rights and REAL religious freedom through the separation of church and state.

Honey, you should take some time and think this through. “religious groups trying to impose their narrow views on all of us.” In this case it is the Obama administration that cannot tolerate other points of view. It is they who are imposing their narrow views on everyone. You might want to put Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell on your reading list. It’ll help you figure this stuff out.
I’m not your “honey.” I’m your local church-state separation advocate. If a church wants to run a business, it should obey the same laws any business must obey. If a church does not like the rules of doing business, it should limit itself to churching.
You might want to put “The Handmaid’s Tale” on your reading list. It’ll help you figure out that women are not incubators, and we won’t let the church or the state tell us how to live our lives.
